Coventry City to host Newcastle United at Coventry Building Society Arena on Matchday 6 of Premier League 2026-27

Coventry City will host Newcastle United at the Coventry Building Society Arena in a Matchday 6 fixture of the Premier League 2026-27 on Monday, October 12, 2026. In India the match will kick off at 12:30 AM IST on October 13.

Coventry arrive off a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest that ended a four-match losing streak and a 25-year wait for a top-flight victory, but they remain in 19th place in the table. Head coach Frank Lampard said in the pre-match press conference that his team needed to build on their historic win against Forest and give a tough test to Newcastle United. The Sky Blues will aim to carry momentum from that result into their league return after the international break.

Newcastle United come into the fixture after a 2-1 victory over Hull City under head coach Matthias Jaissle. Jaissle’s side have lost just one of their last five league games, that defeat being a 4-1 loss against Leeds United. Historically, Newcastle hold a seven-match winning run against Coventry, a record that casts them as the favourites on paper for this meeting.

Television and streaming arrangements in India are confirmed: the match will be live-streamed on the JioHotstar app and website and televised on Star Sports Select 1 (SD & HD). Viewers should use those platforms to watch the fixture live in India.

Broadcast options outside India include Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, SuperSport and Canal+ in Nigeria, and NBC Sports and Universo in the United States.
