Crawley Town dismiss head coach Colin Kazim-Richards amid League Two struggles

Crawley Town sacked head coach Colin Kazim-Richards on 21 October 2026 with the club five points adrift at the bottom of League Two, the club said. The decision followed a run of poor results that left Crawley at the foot of the table.
Kazim-Richards had been in his first managerial role after an 18-year playing career and spells representing Turkey as a player. His appointment marked his initial step into management at senior club level.
The club confirmed the dismissal came after Tuesday night's 3-2 home defeat to Shrewsbury Town. That loss was Crawley's seventh in 10 league matches and the Red Devils have won just once in League Two this season.
Assistant coach Julian Gray has also been relieved of his duties and director of football Erdem Konyar will leave the club, the statement added. The departures leave Crawley without the three members of staff who had been in place during the recent run of results.
A club statement read: "The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Colin and Julian, who joined during a challenging period and played an important role in securing the club's EFL status at the end of last season," and added: "We would also like to thank Erdem for his hard work and commitment since returning to the club last year. "All three depart with the best wishes of everyone at Crawley Town, and we wish them every success in their future endeavours."
