Cristiano Ronaldo cleared to play as Al-Nassr host Al Kholood in Saudi Pro League matchweek 12

Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Al-Nassr tonight when they host Al Kholood at Al Awwal Park in matchweek 12 of the Saudi Pro League on 29 October 2026, the club confirmed after a scheduled AFC Champions League fixture was postponed.

Al-Nassr head into the fixture seeking to extend their winning run after a strong start to the domestic season. The club won eight of their first ten league games to accumulate 25 points. In four previous meetings with Al Kholood, Al-Nassr have three wins and one draw. The match is part of the 2026-27 Saudi Pro League campaign.

Two fixtures involving Al-Nassr were postponed amid hostilities in adjacent Yemen, which organizers cited when rearranging matches. A missile fired by Houthi troops struck Riyadh airport on October 10, killing thirteen people. As a result, the match between the defending Saudi Pro League champions and Al Ahli has been rescheduled for March 2027. The AFC Champions League clash against Al Wasl has also been postponed.

Following the postponement of Monday’s AFC Champions League match, the club confirmed Ronaldo will be available tonight. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is fully fit and has been training alongside the team. His return to action had been disrupted by the two postponed fixtures.

Ronaldo started Al-Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al-Faisaly last Friday, scoring his fifth goal of the season with a headed finish and providing an assist. That win moved Al-Nassr back into the upper end of the table. The Portuguese forward has continued his goalscoring run in the early stages of the season.

Ronaldo’s inclusion means Al-Nassr will field him as they host Al-Kholood at Al Awwal Park in matchweek 12, with the club positioned near the top of the Saudi Pro League standings and aiming to maintain momentum in the 2026-27 campaign.
