Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly set to start in Al Riyadh v Al Nassr at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium tonight

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly due to start tonight’s Saudi Pro League match between Al Riyadh and Al Nassr at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the matchweek 2 fixture. The 41-year-old has been involved in first-team training after missing the first two matches of the 2026-27 season.
Al Nassr travelled to the stadium seeking a second league outing after an opening 3-0 win over Al Fateh, and they also advanced in the Saudi King’s Cup with a 3-1 victory against Al Diriyah in the round of 32. The King’s Cup win came despite conceding an early goal, and it secured the Big Yellow a place in the last 16. Ange Postecoglou’s side have not lost to Al Riyadh in their last five meetings.
Ronaldo is expected to operate alongside Joao Felix, Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman in Al Nassr’s attacking unit. The report that he will start follows his return to team training after being absent from the first two fixtures of the 2026-27 campaign.

Led by Postecoglou, Al Nassr are defending their Saudi Pro League crown and will be aiming to add the AFC Champions League Elite and the Saudi King’s Cup to complete a treble.

The fixture is a matchweek 2 Saudi Pro League contest that will form part of Al Nassr’s title defence as they pursue domestic and continental honours.
