Crystal Palace come from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace recovered from an early deficit to defeat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park during matchweek six of the Premier League 2026-27 campaign. The Eagles secured their second top-flight victory of the season after overturning a three-minute opener by Dan Ndoye.
Nottingham Forest began brightly when Dan Ndoye scored in the third minute to give the visitors an early lead. The Pierre Sage-led side were unable to maintain that advantage as Crystal Palace responded before half-time through Daichi Kamada and Jefferson Lerma. Palace then extended their lead in the second half with a goal from Yéremi Pino, completing the comeback.
Forest’s early strike came to nothing as Palace struck back; 30-year-old Daichi Kamada equalised in the 41st minute and Jefferson Lerma put Palace ahead in the 45+4′ stoppage time of the first half. Yéremi Pino, aged 23, made it 3-1 in the 58th minute by reacting quickest to a rebound off goalkeeper Matz Sels to finish the chance.
Nottingham Forest generated a high volume of attempts but could not convert them: they came up with a total of 24 shots on target yet scored only once. The visitors’ inability to capitalise on opportunities left them unable to sustain pressure on Palace after their early breakthrough.
Oliver Glasner returned to Selhurst Park to face his former club; the Austrian’s visit ended in defeat. The match exposed defensive issues for Forest, with the side described as suffering a collapse that raises questions about their consistency early in the campaign.
Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma and Yéremi Pino were central to Palace’s recovery, each contributing one of the three goals that secured the win. Kamada was singled out in the report as one of Palace’s most consistent performers this season, while Lerma’s and Pino’s finishes completed the turnaround.
With this result Crystal Palace have claimed their second win in the English top division and, according to the source, are going to be confident for their upcoming contest. Nottingham Forest will now look to fix their finishing and defensive lapses moving forward or risk those problems becoming a regular issue.
