Deepanshu suspended and ruled out of Asian Games after stanozolol positive

The Times of India reported on 2026-08-11 that Deepanshu had been suspended and ruled out of the Asian Games after a sample collected at the Lucknow camp tested positive for stanozolol.

Dope control officers collected the sample, which was tested at the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) and returned a positive result for stanozolol.

The case is Deepanshu’s second offence; he had earlier served a three-year ban for a doping violation involving the same prohibited substance.
