India’s Deepti Sharma was one of six players shortlisted for the ICC Player of the Month award in Dubai on Thursday, the ICC announced. The selection followed a run of matches in which Deepti produced notable contributions with both bat and ball.

Deepti scored an unbeaten 106 in her only batting outing in the home ICC Women’s Championship match against Zimbabwe and took five wickets at an economy rate of 3.42. India won the 50-overs series against Zimbabwe 3-0. In the three T20Is that preceded the ODIs, Deepti batted once, making 49 off 37 balls, and took two wickets with her off-spin.

The other players shortlisted were South Africa’s Marco Jansen, Pakistan’s Arafat Minhas, West Indies captain Shai Hope, Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, and Bangladesh’s Sobhana Mostary. Marco Jansen topped the bowlers’ and all-rounders’ tables in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings during this period. Arafat Minhas earned a place on the list after being named Player of the Series in the Pakistan Tri-Series.

Shai Hope was included on the shortlist on the back of strong white-ball performances. The shortlist and related coverage were released from Dubai and published on November 06, 2026 at 04:53 am IST.

The winners of the ICC Player of the Month awards are announced every second week of the following month.
