Denied by visa row in 2023, Rupa Bayor targets 2026 Asian Games medal

Rupa Bayor, an Arunachal Pradesh taekwondo poomsae athlete, was denied participation at the 2023 Asian Games by a visa row.

Since then she has risen to Asia No. 1 and world No. 5, becoming a strong medal contender.

Raised by her farmer mother, she moved to Navi Mumbai in 2021 for training and now aims to win a medal at the 2026 Asian Games.
