Dinusha 85 and Sooriyabandara 80 leave Sri Lanka 38 short of follow-on

Sonal Dinusha scored 85 and Pasindu Sooriyabandara made 80 as Sri Lanka finished on 265 for eight, leaving them 38 runs short of avoiding the follow-on in the India v Sri Lanka Test published on August 26, 2026.

Sooriyabandara's 80 came off 133 balls and included nine fours in only his second Test innings, and India had earlier posted 503 for nine declared.
