Dubois and Wardley meet again at O2 Arena on October 17 with WBO heavyweight title at stake
Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley will contest a rematch at the O2 Arena in London on October 17, with Dubois’ WBO heavyweight title on the line; the bout comes five months after their first meeting in Manchester.
Their initial fight in Manchester saw Wardley drop Dubois twice before Dubois rallied and won by 11th-round technical knockout, a victory that secured the WBO heavyweight championship and ended Wardley’s unbeaten run.
Dubois enters the rematch with a record of 23 wins, 3 losses and 22 knockouts, while Wardley stands at 20 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw, with 19 knockouts; Wardley has said he is determined to avenge his first and only professional defeat, and Dubois has said he will seek to prove his comeback was not a fluke.
The card’s co-main event will feature Louie O’Doherty against Michael Gomez Jr. in a 12-round lightweight contest, with O’Doherty’s British and Commonwealth titles on the line; O’Doherty is unbeaten at 12-0 and Gomez Jr. carries a 23-2 record into the fight.

Fight of the year in May between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley, now they run it back – both fighters as confident as they were the first time of leaving as Heavyweight Champion of the World.
