Durand Cup quarterfinal ties set for August 16-17

Organisers finalised the quarterfinal fixtures of the 135th Durand Cup in Kolkata on August 14, 2026, setting four knockout ties to be played across Ranchi, Kolkata and Shillong on August 16 and 17.

The quarterfinals of the 135th edition are scheduled for August 16–17, with match dates and venues confirmed before the tournament began. The organisers continue a recent practice in which quarterfinal pairings are determined only after the group stage concludes, a curious tradition followed over the last few years. That approach leaves the bracket known now that the group phase is complete. The schedule fixes the knockout timetable while the specific opponents were finalised following group results.

Sporting Club Delhi will face Manipur’s FC Raengdai in QF1 at Birsa Munda Stadium, Ranchi, at 4 p.m. East Bengal will meet Indian Army FT in QF2 at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, at 7 p.m. Both fixtures form the quarterfinal programme for August 16.

On August 17, Mohun Bagan Super Giant meet Jamshedpur FC in QF3 at Salt Lake Stadium at 4 p.m. Defending champion NorthEast United FC faces Shillong Lajong FC in QF4 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong, at 7 p.m. Those two ties complete the quarterfinal lineup.

The first semi-final is scheduled for August 19 at Salt Lake Stadium and will pit the QF1 winner against the QF2 winner. The second semi-final will take place on August 20 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong, between the QF3 victor and the QF4 winner. These dates set the path to the tournament’s concluding fixture.

The Durand Cup final will be played in Kolkata on August 23, 2026, bringing the competition to a close following the semifinals.
