EA SPORTS named Official Game Partner for College Rivals Season 4, bringing EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile to Indian campuses

On 25 August 2026 College Rivals Season 4 announced EA SPORTS as its Official Game Partner, with EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile set to be delivered to college campuses across India.
College Rivals Season 4, described by organisers as India’s premier collegiate gaming and youth culture movement, framed the tie-up as a way to connect football gaming and campus communities to the country’s youth. The announcement cited an estimated 300 million football fans in India and said the partnership aims to make EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile a core part of the College Rivals experience.
Organisers outlined a programme of on-campus activity that will run across 80+ colleges in 35+ cities, featuring on-campus activations, competitive esports formats, creator-led experiences and community initiatives. The rollout will also draw on College Rivals’ nationwide student ambassador network to drive engagement at participating institutions.
The College Rivals platform will continue to expand across mobile, PC and console, and the EA SPORTS agreement is described as bringing one of the world’s biggest football gaming franchises into that ecosystem. Organisers said the collaboration is intended to broaden opportunities for students to connect, play and compete while celebrating young gamers’ creativity and competitive spirit.
The partners plan campaigns timed to major gaming and entertainment moments, with specific opportunities flagged around the launch of EA SPORTS FC™ 27. Season 4 is being positioned as the organisation’s most ambitious edition so far, with a season-long calendar of campus activations, online competitions and community-led experiences built for India’s Gen Z; GamingCon Bharat will be one of several marquee on-ground moments.
Organisers released statements from both partners. Commenting on the partnership, Ashutosh Sharma, Head of Publishing for India and SEA, EA SPORTS said, “India is an incredibly exciting market for gaming, with a young, connected audience and a deep passion for football. Our partnership with College Rivals gives us an opportunity to bring EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile closer to students in an authentic, community-led way, creating more opportunities for players to connect, compete and share their love of the world’s game. We are excited to work with College Rivals to build meaningful experiences across campuses and strengthen our connection with the next generation of players in India.” Charlie Baillie, CEO Ampverse Group, said, “College Rivals has always been about building communities and creating meaningful opportunities for young audiences to engage with gaming and entertainment. Our partnership with EA SPORTS strengthens this vision by bringing one of the world’s most recognised football gaming experiences closer to India’s college ecosystem. Together, we aim to create experiences that go beyond competition and help foster a deeper connection between students, gaming and youth culture.”
The partnership will centre on EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile, with organisers confirming tournaments, campus activations, creator events and community initiatives as the primary delivery mechanisms to give students opportunities to compete in football gaming events and esports competitions throughout the season. College Rivals and EA SPORTS said the arrangement also aims to strengthen the wider gaming ecosystem in India by creating accessible, engaging experiences for students.
Season 4 is expected to expand across 100+ colleges in over 40 cities across India, making it the biggest edition of the collegiate gaming event to date, and organisers invited readers to follow Khel Now Gaming on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or download the Khel Now Android and iOS apps for further updates.
