East Bengal FC will not appear with official branding in EA Sports FC 27, Khel Now reported on August 23, 2026, after the club missed EA Sports’ licensing deadline on the publisher’s official database and website.

EA Sports began publishing official player, team and club ratings for EA FC 27 and released Indian and ISL player ratings on its site, where supporters noticed East Bengal missing from the database; the report noted that Inter Kashi and Diamond Harbour FC are set to make their debuts and that EA Sports and the ISL have signed a new four-year deal to keep the league in the FC series.

According to the report, East Bengal’s squad will be included in the game but without the club’s official name, crest, kits or branding, appearing under a generic club identity similar to how Inter Kashi featured as "United Tigers" in EA FC 26.

Khel Now attributed East Bengal’s absence from the official licensing to the club missing EA Sports’ documentation deadline amid changes to its ownership and board structure following Emami’s exit, and said the deadline had been enforced strictly by the publisher.

The article added that 13 ISL clubs, including newly promoted Diamond Harbour FC, have completed the licensing process with EA Sports, and that the new agreement between the ISL and EA Sports will allow ISL clubs and players to continue appearing in future EA FC titles; the deal was described in the report as larger than the previous arrangement and as providing a platform to promote Indian football through EA Sports FC.

EA FC 27 was reported as set to launch on September 25, 2027, and the game is also listed as scheduled to release on September 25, 2026, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2 and PC.
