East Bengal FC v Mohun Bagan — IFA Shield 2026 final live stream details

East Bengal FC will face Mohun Bagan in the IFA Shield 2026 final at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata on Thursday, 8 October 2026, with kickoff scheduled for 18:15 IST. The fixture is the latest edition of the Kolkata Derby and decides the 2026 IFA Shield champion.

The IFA Shield fielded six teams this season, with only the two Kolkata clubs advancing to the final. The tournament is described in the source as tracing its roots to the pre-independence era and is identified as the third-oldest football competition in India after the Durand Cup and the Trades Cup. This final is the second consecutive IFA Shield decider between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan following the 2025 final, which Mohun Bagan won.

East Bengal enter the match under coach Antonio Lopez Habas and are concurrently involved in multiple competitions, including the AFC Champions League Two 2026-27 season, as stated in the source. The Red & Gold Brigade recorded a 7-2 victory over NorthEast United FC after conceding the opening goal earlier in the campaign and have been noted for mounting a comeback at home against the Highlanders. East Bengal will attempt to capture what the source describes as their 30th IFA Shield title.

Mohun Bagan, managed by Panos Dilmperis according to the source, are aiming for a second consecutive IFA Shield crown after lifting the trophy in 2025. The source notes Mohun Bagan faced Punjab FC in this edition and characterises the upcoming final as an opportunity for them to respond to East Bengal’s Durand Cup 2026 victory, in which Edmund Lalrindika scored a hat-trick in the first 45 minutes.

The final will be played at the Salt Lake Stadium, which the source says recently hosted India’s historical clashes against Brazil and Uruguay. Live streaming for the final and the remainder of the IFA Shield 2026 matches will be available on the FanCode app and FanCode website, as specified in the source.
