East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, SC Delhi and NorthEast United to meet in Durand Cup 2026 semi-finals on Aug 19-20

East Bengal FC, Mohun Bagan, Sporting Club Delhi and NorthEast United FC will contest the Durand Cup 2026 semi-finals on 19 and 20 August, with ties scheduled at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong during the 135th edition of the tournament. Both matches are set to kick off at 19:00 IST, with the winners advancing to the final on 23 August 2026 at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.

The quarter-finals were completed on 16 and 17 August at the VYBK and Birsa Munda Stadiums, producing the four teams that remain from the original 24 entrants. The competition has now reached its decisive phase and the last four sides will compete for places in the final on 23 August. Khel Now reported the semi-final fixtures following the conclusion of the quarter-final round.

The first semi-final pairs East Bengal FC against Sporting Club Delhi on 19 August at 19:00 IST at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata. The second semi-final sees Mohun Bagan face NorthEast United FC on 20 August at 19:00 IST at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. Both semi-finals will be livestreamed on Sony LIV and broadcast live on Sony Ten 2.

East Bengal reached the semi-finals by beating Indian Army FT 1-0 in their quarter-final, with PV Vishnu scoring in the 38th minute to secure Antonio Habas’s side a place in the last four. That 1-0 victory provided the Red & Gold Brigade progression to the semi-finals.

Sporting Club Delhi reached the semi-finals after Joseph Sunny scored a brace against FC Raengdai in their quarter-final tie. SC Delhi are a debutant in this edition of the Durand Cup and their quarter-final win booked their place in the top four.

Mohun Bagan advanced to the semi-finals by defeating the Men of Steel on penalties in the quarter-finals. NorthEast United progressed after outclassing IFL side Shillong Lajong FC in their quarter-final fixture, setting up the clash with Mohun Bagan in Shillong.

Regarding Durand Cup pedigree among the semi-finalists, East Bengal have 16 Durand Cup titles and Mohun Bagan hold the record with 17 titles, while NorthEast United FC are reported to be seeking a third consecutive trophy after back-to-back wins. Sporting Club Delhi remain the only semi-finalist making their competition debut.

The winners of the two semi-finals will meet in the Durand Cup final on 23 August 2026 at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, to decide the champion.
