East Bengal sign Polish forward Łukasz Zwoliński on one-year deal ahead of ISL 2026-27

East Bengal have signed Polish forward Łukasz Zwoliński on a one-season contract, the club and local reports confirmed on 2026-09-18 as the Red & Gold prepared for the Indian Super League 2026-27 campaign.
The move follows East Bengal’s ISL 2025-26 title and their recent 17th Durand Cup triumph over Mohun Bagan SG, with Zwoliński brought in to replace Youssef Ezzejjari after the latter left at the end of the last campaign. According to the agreement, Zwoliński will remain with the Red & Gold Brigade until the completion of the current campaign. He is the club’s eighth foreign signing, joining Nacho Monsalve, MD Basim Rashid, Chris Ikonomidis, Dani Ramírez, Diego Zivulic, Ake Loba and Effiong Nsungusi.
The 33-year-old is a former Poland U-20 international who represented the age group between 2012 and 2014, appearing in six matches and scoring two goals. The report states he has played over 200 games in the Ekstraklasa, the Polish top tier. Zwoliński is listed as a centre-forward, is right-footed and stands 1.84 metres tall.
The article details Zwoliński’s club career across Poland, Croatia and Turkey, naming Pogoń Szczecin, Górnik Łęczna, HNK Gorica, Lechia Gdańsk, Raków Częstochowa, Wisła Kraków and Sakaryaspor as his former teams. It notes he mostly grew up through the youth academy of Pogoń Szczecin, making 113 appearances and scoring 22 goals before breaking into the senior team, for which he played 120 times, scoring 25 goals and assisting nine more.
His most recent stint was a one-year spell at Turkish side Sakaryaspor; the report says he arrives in India as a free agent after that contract ended. In the 2025-26 season Zwoliński made 24 league appearances and scored four goals in the Turkish 1. Lig, according to the article.
The piece points to a notable period at Lechia Gdańsk where he scored 36 goals in 94 appearances, and records him as a centre-forward capable of playing as a central striker. It also mentions East Bengal’s preparations for both the ISL and the ACL Two Group Stage and records that he will take Ezzejjari’s spot in the team.
The club’s announcement on social media included the following message: 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗨𝗣 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧 💪#AmagoFans – join us in welcoming Łukasz Zwoliński to the 🔴🟡 family, as he signs a one-season contract with us. ✍️The former Poland U-20 forward 🇵🇱 has played over 200 games in the Ekstraklasa – the Polish top-tier league! 🔥 pic.twitter.com/AGGtzz6iuU
