East Bengal will attempt to build on their opening win in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 when they host Hwanchon KSPO at the Kishore Bharati Krinangan in Kolkata on Wednesday, 4 November (2026). The Moshal Girls kick off at 8 PM IST in a group-stage fixture that will be shown live on Fancode.

East Bengal began their campaign with a victory over Ho Chi Minh City WFC and arrive in Kolkata with momentum under coach Anthony Andrews. The side aim to sustain that form while tightening defensively after the previous match, and intend to deploy fast-paced attacking play to entertain home supporters. Another win would significantly improve East Bengal’s prospects of advancing to the knockout rounds, while dropping points would reduce those chances.

Hwancheon KSPO recorded a defeat in their first-ever AFC Women’s Champions League match and face a difficult task if they are to reach a top-two or top-three position in the group. The South Korean side must maintain concentration throughout the 90 minutes, remain defensively solid and be proactive in creating and finishing chances. A victory would return them to contention for a top-two finish; another loss would make progression to the next round extremely difficult.

Anthony Andrews should have the same squad available that featured against Ho Chi Minh City WFC, according to the match preview, and Hwancheon KSPO are also expected to have a fully fit unit. This fixture will be the first meeting between the two clubs.

Expected lineups listed in the preview are: East Bengal — Panthoi Chanu (GK), Astam Oraon, Adama Alhassan, Abena Opoku, Sarita Yumnam, Hitomi Tanaka, Resty Nanziri, Shilky Devi, Sulanjana Raul, Olivia Anonkye, Fazila Ilkwaput. Hwanchon/Hwancheon KSPO — Min Yoo-Kyung (GK), Kim Yu-RI, Lee Min-Hwa, Kim Ji-Hyeon, Choi Min-A, A. Tanaka, Mun Eun-Ju, Choi Jeong-Min, Wie Jae-Eun, Lee Su-Bin, Choi Yoo-Jung.

Fazila Ilkwaput is highlighted as East Bengal’s key attacking threat after an influential 2025-26 season in which she scored 31 goals for the Moshal Girls; the Ugandan forward will be relied upon to convert chances in and around the penalty area. Mun Eun-Ju is identified as Hwanchon KSPO’s standout player, described as a South Korean international and a combative midfielder who must use pressing and ball-winning to disrupt East Bengal and contribute chances with final-third passes.

The AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 Group-stage fixture between East Bengal and Hwanchon KSPO takes place on Wednesday, 4 November (2026) at the Kishore Bharati Krinangan, Kolkata, with kick-off at 8 PM IST and live coverage on Fancode.
