East Bengal to host Sporting Club Delhi in Durand Cup semi at Kolkata’s Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan

East Bengal FC will host Sporting Club Delhi in a Durand Cup semifinal on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00 IST at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. The match pairs two sides that have both advanced from the quarterfinals to the last four of the 135th edition.
East Bengal arrive having secured their semi-final berth by beating Indian Army FT in the quarterfinals, and they had earlier recorded back-to-back wins against Al-Arabi and Indian Army in the tournament. The club won the Indian Super League last season after defeating Inter Kashi FC in the title decider, claiming their first ISL crown, and the semifinal will be a home game for the Moshal side.
Sporting Club Delhi progressed through the group phase with a victory over Jamshedpur FC in their opening fixture and followed that by edging past Defenders and Air Force with commanding scorelines. In the quarterfinals they thrashed FC Raengdai, relying on a brace from Joseph Sunny to reach the semifinals. SC Delhi is one of the four teams remaining alongside East Bengal, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and NorthEast United FC.
The two clubs have met only once previously, in the ISL 2025-26 season, where East Bengal won 4-1. In that match Augustine opened the scoring for SC Delhi before Edmund levelled for the home side, and Miguel finished the game with Youssef’s brace.
SC Delhi competed in the ISL for the first time under that name in the 2025-26 season after a rebrand; prior to that the club was named Hyderabad FC. That rebranding means the Durand Cup semifinal could be only the second meeting between the two identities.
