Eclipse Glow Games releases new Tides of Annihilation gameplay footage revealing Knight system and combat

Eclipse Glow Games released new gameplay footage for its upcoming AAA action RPG Tides of Annihilation on August 16, 2026, showing core mechanics including its summon-based combat, Knight systems, boss encounters and exploration.
The footage presents Tides of Annihilation as an action RPG that mixes Arthurian elements with mythologies from other cultures; the developer describes summon-based combat as a primary mechanic and introduces Gwendolyn as the playable protagonist who can summon and fight alongside two Knights of the Round Table simultaneously. Players will be able to equip two Knight loadouts and switch between them during combat, according to the demonstration.
Footage showcased three Main Knights and revealed two Sub Knights, though the developer did not list their names in the released clip. Each Knight loadout pairs a Main Knight, which alters combat style, with a Sub Knight that provides utility abilities and support attacks, the footage explained. The game allows seamless swapping between those two loadouts in combat.
The demo included multiple boss encounters and phased battles; one sequence features a legendary Knight encountered inside a library and a boss named Modred who can summon allied knights. The Modred encounter moves into a second phase that introduces an enormous Dragon, described in the footage as the hardest boss, and some enemies transform into dragon-like Yokai during later stages. Several other boss types appeared across the shown encounters.
Level design in the footage appears to follow a linear progression model with interconnected areas and locked-room combat scenarios, and the developer demonstrated environmental puzzles and the use of Knight abilities outside combat. The demo also showed travel between multiple dimensions with different hidden paths and indicated the presence of various weapons carrying unique passives.
A social post accompanying coverage included the line: "These production values are crazy, Chinese devs have some insane looking games on the way.https://t.co/5nZuKYvfQK pic.twitter.com/XeTOoU256i" and promotional material credited Eclipse Glow Games as the source of the footage. The developer indicated that additional gameplay information will be made available at Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live.
More details and extended gameplay will be revealed during Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, the developer said; the story was reported by Mahaksh Chauhan of Khel Now, who is credited in the original release and described as a gaming journalist with interests in old-school RPGs and turn-based games.
