Embark Studios to run ARC Raiders PvE matchmaking toggle beta from Oct. 13-20, 2026

Embark Studios has announced a limited-time PvE matchmaking toggle beta for ARC Raiders that will run from October 13 to October 20, 2026. The test opens on October 13, 2026, at 2:00 AM PT (5:00 AM ET) and closes on October 20, 2026, at 2:00 AM PT (5:00 AM ET).
The PvE Toggle Beta will let players face ARC machines, complete objectives and explore the game world without being attacked by other players. Player-versus-player combat is disabled during PvE matches, shifting the emphasis to surviving against ARC enemies, scavenging resources and finishing objectives. Embark Studios describes the event as a one-week matchmaking test intended to gather player feedback before any long-term decision on the feature.
Participation requires no prior registration: there are no sign-ups, invite codes or separate downloads. To join, update the game, open the matchmaking menu, switch the traditional PvPvE mode to the new PvE toggle, select a destination and queue for a match.
The company scheduled the beta to follow the Frozen Trail update, prompting speculation that the new Pendola Pass map may be available during the test. The announcement accompanied social messaging inviting players to try the test and comment on their experience: "Come try it out, and let us know what you think! Your feedback will help us determine if it works, and what the future of this feature could look like.Read more about the test in our blog… pic.twitter.com/LJihJDPXNq"

Embark Studios has framed the week-long window as a feedback-driven experiment; player responses during the October 13–20 test will be used to inform whether and how the PvE toggle is developed further.
