England beat Pakistan by 194 runs at Lord's on Sunday, August 30, 2026, winning the second Test and securing their first home Test series victory for two years. The tourists were bowled out for 194 while chasing 389, leaving England with a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

After a rain-hit Saturday, England resumed day four on 177-7 but were all out for 208 after Pakistan quick Mohammad Abbas finished with five wickets, setting Pakistan a target of 389. Pakistan were reduced to 14-3 before lunch as England tightened the chase early.

Ollie Robinson was again Pakistan's principal wicket-taker, claiming four wickets for 24 in the second innings after taking four for 11 in the first, bringing his tally to 16 in the two Tests. Robinson removed Azan Awais lbw with a delivery that nipped back off a length and three balls later uprooted Abdullah Shafique's off stump to leave Pakistan 7-2.

Captain Babar Azam edged a Jofra Archer bouncer via his helmet to Jordan Cox at third slip before lunch, while Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel resisted to help Pakistan reach their highest score of the series so far. Robinson removed Masood for 26 after the interval.

Saud Shakeel produced the main resistance with a fighting 97, hitting 13 fours and two sixes during his innings. He fell three runs short of a century when he attempted to launch Josh Tongue over the deep square leg boundary but picked out Harry Brook and walked off to a hearty reception.

With opener Imam-ul-Haq again unable to bat because of an injury sustained in the field on Thursday, England required nine more wickets to finish the match, and Josh Tongue completed the victory by dismissing Mohammad Ali. Mohammad Abbas's five-wicket contribution had earlier helped restrict England to 208 in their second-innings total.

The third and final Test will start at Edgbaston on September 9.
