England's Jordan two off lead after third round at Alfred Dunhill Links

England's Matthew Jordan is two shots off the lead heading into the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship after carding a six-under-par 66 in the third round at Kingsbarns on 3 October 2026. The 30-year-old finished the day 16 under alongside Poland's Adrian Meronk, while South Africa's Casey Jarvis led on 18 under.
Jordan moved to 16 under with his six-under 66 as he bids to win a DP World Tour event. He finished runner-up at the Nexo Championship in Scotland in August and won the 2017 St Andrews Links Trophy as an amateur.
Casey Jarvis began his round with an eagle at the first and posted a bogey-free 65 at St Andrews to reach 18 under. Jarvis said he was "going to be feeling pressure" and added: "I still know I am going to feel first tee nerves and pressure throughout the day, but I am just going to try and manage it as much as I can."
Adrian Meronk produced the joint-best round of the day, a nine-under 63, making birdies at his opening four holes at Kingsbarns and adding an eagle later to finish 16 under. Meronk's 63 left him level with Jordan heading into the final day.
Belgium's Thomas Detry shot a seven-under 65 at St Andrews to move to 15 under, one stroke behind Jordan and Meronk. England's Matt Fitzpatrick went six under at St Andrews to sit at 12 under alongside defending champion Robert MacIntyre and Calum Hill.
On his position in the tournament Jordan said: "What I wanted to do, and felt like I hadn't done over the last 12, 18 months was put myself in a position to win," Jordan told the DP World Tour. "Certainly. I kind of always felt that maybe I was a bit too far back and needed an amazing round to make it happen. I've done well in the last couple events. "I want to give myself a really good chance. And then just try and win a golf tournament."
The field now heads into the final round with Jarvis on 18 under, Jordan and Meronk on 16 under and Detry on 15 under, with the concluding round set to determine the Alfred Dunhill Links champion.
