England to play Pakistan and Sri Lanka in October ODI tri-series

England will play Pakistan and Sri Lanka in a one-day international tri-series staged in Rawalpindi and Lahore in October, with the final scheduled for 31 October at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. England have won their past two ODI series under Harry Brook — against India this year and against Sri Lanka in January.
Each side will meet the others twice in the round-robin stage, with the top two finishers contesting the final on 31 October. It is England's first ODI tri-series since they took part in a tournament against Australia and India in Australia before the 2015 World Cup. The tri-series begins England's winter schedule and is immediately followed by three ODIs and five T20s against Australia from 13 November. After that Australia tour, England are scheduled to play three Tests and three ODIs in South Africa, two Tests in Bangladesh and the 150th anniversary Test in Melbourne against Australia in March.
The tournament opens on 18 October with Pakistan v Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. England's first match is against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 20 October. England then face Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 22 October.
Matches then move to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where England play Pakistan on 25 October. Pakistan and Sri Lanka meet at Gaddafi Stadium on 27 October. Sri Lanka play England at Gaddafi Stadium on 29 October.
The tri-series final is scheduled for 31 October at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, following the double round-robin phase. Each team will have played four group matches before the final.
The opening fixture, Pakistan v Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, is scheduled for 18 October and the tournament concludes with the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on 31 October.
