Epic Games' Fortnite Sonic comic teases four Sonic skins ahead of Chapter 7 Season 4
On August 16, 2026, Epic Games published an official Fortnite Sonic comic on the Epic Games Community website and announced Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 ahead of the Override season.
The comic expands Fortnite’s narrative following the Unstable Story Moment live event, opening with Dr. Eggman joining forces with Geno as reality destabilizes around the Zero Point. In the story Eggman and Geno seek the power of the Chaos Emeralds to reshape reality for their goals. Artwork for the comic is credited to Stanley, ARQ, Kim and Mcgrath, and Epic presents the release as an original crossover between the Sonic universe and Fortnite’s evolving narrative.
The final page depicts Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles and Tails preparing to enter the Fortnite Island. That sequence is presented as a major reveal within the comic. The pages place those characters directly into the crossover storyline.
The cover artwork features robotic versions of Sonic, Shadow and Knuckles emerging through a Zero Point Rift while carrying the Chaos Emeralds. Those images visually link the robotic figures to the comic’s central plot device. The combination of rifts, robots and Emerald imagery anchors the Sonic material to Fortnite’s Zero Point storyline.
Within the narrative, Dr. Eggman and Geno pursue the Chaos Emeralds as part of an effort to stabilize or reshape reality after the Zero Point becomes unstable. Sonic and his allies enter the crossover to oppose that plan. The comic frames the conflict around control of the Emeralds.
The comic suggests four new Sonic-themed skins, including one additional character that the coverage says is rumored to arrive during Season 4, and it also teases that Metal Sonic could appear later in the season.
