Epic Games unveils Fortnite Sprite Garden for Chapter 7 Season 4

Epic Games announced on August 8, 2026 that it will introduce the Fortnite Sprite Garden as part of Chapter 7 Season 4, a new in-game social environment where players can collect, display and interact with Sprites.
The Sprite Garden is an upcoming UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) experience designed to serve as a permanent home for Sprites collected during play. Epic describes the space as a relaxing social hub where players can explore and invite friends; it is intended as a showcase for collections rather than a tradable inventory. Epic developed the feature in collaboration with Fairview Portals and Beyond Creative.
Epic has not published a complete list of activities for the Sprite Garden, but the publisher said players will be able to interact with their companions in the space. Reported interaction possibilities include approaching Sprites to elicit cues and getting them to follow players around the garden, and Epic noted the companions will roam freely. Some fans have suggested those roaming behaviours could provide a peaceful, atmospheric experience.
The Sprite Garden is described as a social area outside of Battle Royale play where users can visit other players’ gardens and invite friends to theirs. The feature will allow players to compare collections and spend time together in the same island environment rather than managing Sprites through the main gameplay inventory.
Epic also announced the winners of a Design A Sprite competition and confirmed community-created entries among upcoming Sprites. Named community Sprites cited by Epic include X-Ray Sprite, Pond Sprite, Honey Sprite, Bullet Sprite and Dumpster Dive Sprite, which the company said were created by the community and are likely to appear in Fortnite in the future.
Epic confirmed that Sprites collected in Chapter 7 Season 3 will carry over into players’ personal Sprite Gardens, and that Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites will be automatically added to those gardens. The developer added that even if a Sprite is lost or used extensively in other modes, it will remain available to view in the Sprite Garden.
