European Athletics Championships: day three live from Birmingham

On day three of the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, Hudson-Smith finished second in his semi-final and Jonas Phijffers of the Netherlands was the victor.

There were four gold medals on offer that evening: women’s hammer, men’s 400m, women’s 400m hurdles and the men’s 100m hurdles.
