Ex-cricketer questions Auqib Nabi's inclusion in India Test squad

Auqib Nabi was named to India's Test squad for the Sri Lanka series on August 6, 2026, replacing injured fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, a decision an ex-cricketer criticised with the comment, 'Auqib Nabi shouldn't have come in as a replacement'.

Nabi earned selection after strong domestic performances, taking 104 wickets across two Ranji Trophy seasons.

He is the first cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to reach that milestone.
