FA Cup roundup: Kidderminster shock Doncaster as Exeter beat Huddersfield

Non-league Kidderminster Harriers stunned League One Doncaster 3-0 at Aggborough in the FA Cup on 7 November 2026, while League Two Exeter upset League One leaders Huddersfield 2-1 as several ties produced late drama and notable giant-killings.
Kidderminster, who are a National League side, opened the scoring after 22 minutes when Maz Kouhyar pulled the ball back to Lewis Walker and he fired home at the second attempt after his initial shot had hit the upright. Walker continued to trouble Doncaster, and in the 36th minute he charged upfield before teeing up Kouhyar, who slotted home; two minutes after an Alfie May penalty appeal was waved away Kouhyar had a shot that Josh Clarke parried and David Davis turned in the rebound. The Kidderminster manager Paul Wotton said: “We started well, scored the goal and got the crowd up. It was just a really good day. They are a League One team at the end of the day, no matter what the scoreline suggests. They are two leagues higher than us, so they are going to have moments in the game, but we stood up to it. “We’ve been playing well but just not getting our rewards. Today we got our rewards. It’s been a really good day for the football club and a really good day for the fans, which is what it’s all about – you could just see the atmosphere at the end.”
Exeter took the lead at Huddersfield after 12 minutes when Luca Woodhouse delivered a cross from the left and centre-back Jack Taylor stole in at the far post to finish. Huddersfield drew level within eight minutes of the restart as Ibane Bowat headed home Cameron Humphreys’ corner at the back post, but Charlie Cummins grabbed the winner nine minutes from time after Reece Cole’s cutback.
Blackpool survived a scare at Hornchurch, coming from behind to win 2-1 with Josh Bowler scoring the 118th-minute winner after coming on at half-time. Hornchurch had taken a deserved half-time lead when Angelo Balanta’s cross was stroked home by early substitute Henry Hearn, and Blackpool levelled through Jordan Brown’s 55th-minute volley from a Bowler cross; Henry Sandat was sent off after pulling back Bowler, Finley Munroe hit the bar from the resulting free-kick, and Tom Bloxham later laid the ball in front of Bowler to curl home the late winner.
Chesterfield held on to beat Yeovil Town 4-3 after Yeovil recovered from 3-1 down to level at 3-3, with Joel Randall striking the winner a minute from time. Jack Bates scored twice in the first half as Dover beat Wealdstone 2-0, while Mansfield required late goals from Rhys Oates and Jordan Bowery to overcome National League North Macclesfield after Nathan Moriah-Welsh had given Mansfield a first-half lead; Oates made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute and Bowery added a third three minutes into added time. “We were a bit sloppy early on and kept giving the ball to them, which was inexcusable really,” said the Mansfield manager Nigel Clough. “But in the second half we played some good football and got in some good positions. It was a relief to see that second goal go in.”
Plymouth eased through with a 4-0 victory over Southern League Premier Central side Alvechurch, Will Evans breaking the deadlock after 50 minutes by winning the ball from Jessy Bavanganga and driving a low angled shot into the far corner before further goals from Evans, Michael Baidoo and Ronan Curtis. Barnsley routed Aldershot 7-2 at Oakwell with Cameron McGeehan grabbing a hat-trick, Leyton Orient prevailed 5-1 at Harborough, Crewe beat Wimbledon 2-1, and Bradford hammered Marine 7-0 with Nick Powell and Adam Phillips each scoring twice; Cheltenham closed out a dramatic 4-3 win over National League Yeovil with a late goal from Joel Randall.
Port Vale beat Scunthorpe United 4-2 at Vale Park to advance, MK Dons edged Swindon 2-1, and Worcester’s hopes ended in a 1-0 defeat at Colchester. Jordan Thewlis’ stoppage-time penalty gave seventh-tier Guiseley a 1-0 win over Sutton at Nethermoor Park, Carlisle defeated League Two leaders Salford 1-0 after David Ajiboye scored just before the break and Ryan Graydon missed a penalty, Burton thumped eighth-tier AFC Rushden + Diamonds 4-0 with goals from Will Collar and Borges Rodrigues in the first half and Charlie Webster and Zac Scutt late on, and Nathan Odokonyero scored twice as Salisbury beat seventh-tier Sholing 6-0 to take their place in round two for the first time since since reforming in 2015.
The winning clubs from these ties progress to the second round of the FA Cup.
