FC Goa have confirmed there will be no Indian broadcast for their AFC Champions League Two Preliminary Stage match against FK Arkadag in Turkmenistan on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, with kick-off at 8:30 pm IST. The club published the announcement on its social media channels ahead of the fixture.

Under the AFC competition regulations, FC Goa stated that broadcast rights for the Preliminary Rounds are held by the home club. Because FK Arkadag are the hosts, FC Goa said they do not control production, distribution or broadcast arrangements for the match. The club also noted FK Arkadag informed them the fixture would not be made available to mainstream broadcasters in India.

FC Goa set out the situation in a formal statement: “As per the AFC Competition Regulations, the broadcast rights for the Preliminary Rounds of the AFC Champions League Two are held by the home club. As a result, FC Goa has no control over the production, distribution or broadcast of tomorrow’s fixture. FC Arkadag have informed us that the match will not be made available to mainstream broadcasters in India. This decision rests solely with the host club and is unfortunately beyond our control.”

The club said it will attempt to keep supporters informed through its own media channels, promising live updates, key moments and match-related information via official platforms. The announcement advised fans that, absent a mainstream broadcast in India, they would need to follow the club’s digital output or alternative sources for coverage and scores.

The report also noted past instances in which FK Arkadag did not make their official league games available via broadcast. FC Goa issued their statement before travelling for the Asian-stage fixture and before the scheduled kick-off in Turkmenistan.

East Bengal FC are also scheduled to compete on the same day in an AFC Champions League Two qualification match against Al-Arabi SC in Kolkata. That fixture was referenced in FC Goa’s notice as part of the wider qualification programme taking place on 12 August.

The AFC Champions League Two preliminary qualifier between FK Arkadag and FC Goa is set for Arkadag Stadium, Turkmenistan, on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, with kick-off at 8:30 pm IST.
