FC Goa to host Chennaiyin FC at Fatorda in ISL 2026-27 opener on October 10

FC Goa will welcome Chennaiyin FC at Fatorda Stadium (PJN Stadium) on October 10, 2026, in an Indian Super League 2026-27 opening-day fixture with kick-off at 19:30 IST. The game will be shown live on Sony Sports Network and SonyLIV, with free streaming available on YouTube.
The ISL 2026-27 season is scheduled to run for seven months and opens with a double-header that includes this southern derby. Both clubs will be seeking an early three points to begin their campaigns; in 2025-26 FC Goa finished seventh while Chennaiyin FC endured a poor season. The fixture renews a rivalry between the two sides from India’s south.
In 31 previous meetings between the clubs, FC Goa have recorded 17 wins while Chennaiyin FC have won nine encounters.
Chennaiyin have undertaken a squad rebuild ahead of the new campaign, moving on several older core players and recruiting young Indian talent described as having the potential to make an impact and adapt to the head coach’s progressive, possession-based approach.
FC Goa beat Chennaiyin in a pre-season friendly and will aim to reproduce that result in front of their home supporters at Fatorda.
Television coverage will include Sony Ten 2 and Sony Ten 2 HD, with the entire 2026-27 ISL season streamed live and free on YouTube and all 163 matches available on SonyLIV in India. Commentary will be provided in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali, with Malayalam coverage for Kerala Blasters matches, Tamil for Chennaiyin FC games, and Bengali for East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant fixtures.
The match is the second game of the ISL 2026-27 opening-day double-header on October 10, 2026, kicking off at 19:30 IST; for ongoing updates Khel Now lists coverage on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and via its Android and iOS apps, plus community channels on WhatsApp and Telegram.
