Feyenoord Rotterdam will face Como 1907 at the Stadion Feijenoord on October 14 in their second league-phase outing of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side arrive having scored 14 goals in their last three matches without conceding, but they have yet to register a win in this season’s Champions League after a 1-5 defeat by FC Barcelona in the opening round. Como 1907 make their UEFA Champions League debut and opened the campaign with a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig. The preview notes Como’s recent league efforts “were not quite enough,” and that both teams head into the fixture with contrasting forms.

Sem Steijn was Feyenoord’s lone scorer in the 1-5 loss to Barcelona; the 24-year-old is described in the preview as able to control the midfield and contribute in the final third. Feyenoord will be aiming for a positive response on home turf to secure their first group-stage points in the competition.

Como’s squad is led by Cesc Fàbregas and includes 22-year-old Argentine Nico Paz, who was singled out for his performance in a goalless draw with AS Roma. Paz registered the most touches (6) in the opposition box and recorded the most shots (4) in that match, despite not scoring.

Feyenoord will be without Gijs Smal, Rsuyoshi Watanabe, Jordan Bos, Jakub Moder, Bart Nieuwkoop and Thomas Beelen as they are not match fit, while Moise Kean is ruled out for Como with a muscle injury. The preview lists the following expected lineups: Ernst (GK); Read, Juste, Deijl, Marmol; Zechiel, Steijn; Moussa, Valente, Lopez; Ferri and Butez (GK); Couto, Ramon, Chalobah, Valle; Milla, Da Cunha; Diao, Paz, Baturina; Douvikas.

The match preview anticipates Feyenoord adopting an attacking approach at home while warning that an organised Como side might limit chances, and it projects Cesc Fàbregas’ team to come out on top and secure three points. Broadcast options cited in the preview include India: Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV and UK: TNT Sports, Amazon Prime, BBC.

The Champions League fixture is scheduled for October 14 at the Stadion Feijenoord.
