Final Money in the Bank qualifiers set for WWE SmackDown in Denver on October 2
Friday Night SmackDown on September 25 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis served as the go-home show for Money in the Bank, with Trick Williams retaining the United States Championship in a Steel Cage and both CM Punk and Lash Legend winning qualifying matches; the final qualifiers will take place on the October 2 episode live from Ball Arena in Denver.
The September 25 card opened with Trick Williams defeating Baron Corbin in a Steel Cage match to retain the United States Championship, a result the show said kept his Money in the Bank spot secure. Lash Legend edged out Charlotte Flair and Giulia to claim a women’s qualifying position for Money in the Bank. CM Punk seized the men’s Triple Threat qualifier after a Finn Balor–GUNTHER exchange, securing his own ticket to New Orleans.
WWE confirmed the Money in the Bank 2026 field will be completed next week with the sixth and final qualifying match on each side. The men’s last qualifying bout is scheduled as a triple threat between Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano for the final Ladder Match spot.
On the women’s side, Tiffany Stratton, Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae are slated to compete in a three-way qualifier for the remaining ticket to New Orleans. The October 2 edition of SmackDown will emanate live from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
WWE’s published lineup for the October 2 show lists Giulia vs Blake Monroe as an MITB qualifying match, alongside Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens vs Johnny Gargano and Tiffany Stratton vs Tatum Paxley vs Candice LeRae. The promotion also named Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano, Tiffany Stratton, Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae as featured superstars for the Denver broadcast, with Giulia and Blake Monroe confirmed for in-ring action.
Money in the Bank 2026 is scheduled for October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The winners of the October 2 SmackDown qualifiers will fill the final spots in the respective Money in the Bank Ladder Matches at that event.
