Five storylines WWE is reportedly steering toward WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh

WWE will stage WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in April 2027 — the first WrestleMania held outside North America — and the company has reportedly already begun creative planning for the event. Reports say WWE has started planting seeds in ongoing television storylines with specific matches in mind for the show.
Those targeted scenarios include a renewed Rhea Ripley–Jade Cargill program, a tag-team encounter tied to the Bella Twins’ betrayal of Paige, a Liv Morgan–Roxanne Perez title angle stemming from Money in the Bank, a follow-up to the CM Punk–Cody Rhodes SummerSlam title match, and a potential Oba Femi versus Roman Reigns main event. WWE sources indicate these angles are being seeded on weekly television to build toward WrestleMania 43.
Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill had a massive feud earlier this year before Ripley suffered a knee injury, and WWE reportedly plans to include Ripley on the WrestleMania 43 card. That pairing would allow Ripley to resume her feud with Cargill — referred to in reports as The Eradicator versus The Storm — at next year’s show.
The Bella Twins’ betrayal of Paige has produced a heated feud between Paige and Nikki Bella while Brie Bella is currently sidelined with an injury. Around WrestleMania 43, reports suggest Brie could return from injury and Paige could bring back AJ Lee, setting the stage for a tag-team match that echoes the pairing from WrestleMania 31.
Liv Morgan regained the WWE Women’s World title at Money in the Bank 2026, while Roxanne Perez failed to capture the MITB briefcase that night despite being a heavy favorite. WWE could use that backdrop to quietly plant the seeds for a betrayal storyline in which Perez leaves Judgment Day and challenges Morgan for the title at WrestleMania 43.
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes delivered a blockbuster title match at SummerSlam 2026, and WWE reportedly intends to build a second chapter from that encounter. Reports suggest one of the two could become World Champion again, setting up a rematch at WrestleMania 43.
Oba Femi has been on the rise as a future WWE main eventer and has repeatedly called out Roman Reigns, and WWE has reportedly locked those two names in to meet in the WrestleMania 43 main event. Those reports position Femi against Reigns as the centerpiece match for the Riyadh card.
WrestleMania 43 is scheduled as a two-night spectacle in April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and WWE’s reported creative planning aims to have the cited storylines reach their peaks at that event.
