Forest complete £22m signing of Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace
Nottingham Forest completed the £22m signing of Colombia right-back Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace on 31 August 2026, reuniting him with manager Oliver Glasner at the City Ground.
Munoz has agreed a three-year contract after spending two and a half years at Selhurst Park, where he scored 11 goals in 109 appearances. The transfer follows Forest's record £50m arrival of Liam Delap and comes with Munoz having won trophies earlier in his career, including the Belgian Cup with Genk before joining Palace.
The 51-cap international also featured in successes with Palace, helping the club to the Community Shield in 2025 and, according to the club announcement, winning the FA Cup and Conference League during his spell with the Eagles. Forest announced the fee as £22m and confirmed Munoz's move as a permanent signing.
Munoz spoke after the transfer, saying: "I'm really excited because I can see so much talent, Forest is a team with great players, great qualities and great skills on the pitch, I can't wait to get out there so I can help my new team-mates and I think that we're going to do great things. "It is a club that's fought hard in recent years, it has competed hard, it got to the semi-finals of the Europa League and I think it has even greater objectives for the future, and really this is what I like about Forest, and that's why I decided to come here."
Forest's chief football officer George Syrianos added: "Daniel has performed strongly in the Premier League and in European competition, and we believe he has the mentality and ambition to make a significant contribution to the club."
The signing arrives as Forest look to bolster their squad following a 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Saturday; the club had previously lost their opening two matches in the Premier League and the Carabao Cup to Leeds United. Munoz could make his debut for Forest against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
Munoz's arrival provides Forest an additional right-back option ahead of the Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, where he could feature for the first time in a Forest shirt.
