Former India coach Ravi Shastri questions selectors over Mohammed Shami's lack of Test recall before retirement

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri said he was disappointed that Mohammed Shami did not get another chance in India's Test team before announcing his retirement from the format.

Shastri directly asked selectors, "What more do you want him to prove?"

He added that playing in the gym and bowling in an actual match were two different things and that a bowler's ability to bowl 10-12 overs in a match should be a better test of fitness.
