Fury and Joshua to meet at Principality Stadium on December 11, 2026

Turki Alalshikh announced that Tyson Fury will face Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight clash at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Friday, December 11, 2026.

The Principality Stadium, which has a capacity of 78,000, was confirmed as the venue by Alalshikh, who is chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and president of the Saudi Boxing Federation, via his X handle. Fury enters the fight with a professional record of 36-2-1 and is returning after consecutive wins over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach. Those victories followed back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, which ended Fury’s previously unbeaten run.

Joshua arrives with a record of 30-4 and has won his last two fights, most recently scoring a knockout over Kristian Prenga. His December 2025 victory over Jake Paul marked a return to the win column after his defeat by Daniel Dubois.

Fury is a former unified and two-time world heavyweight champion who, at different points in his career, captured all four major governing body world titles: the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO. Joshua previously held three of those four belts simultaneously — the WBA, IBF and WBO — but had not held the WBC title.

The pairing has been discussed for years without the two men meeting in the ring; both are described in the announcement as among the leading British boxing figures and have each sought to recover momentum following high-profile losses.

Both fighters are scheduled to take part in a press conference on September 30 at the British Airways Arc in London. The bout itself will stream live and exclusively on Netflix globally.
