FUT Sheriff shares clip of EA FC 27 goalkeeper free-kick glitch

On 2026-10-13, EA FC 27 leaker FUT Sheriff posted on X a clip showing goalkeepers scoring directly from free kicks taken inside their own penalty areas in EA FC 27. The report of the glitch was published by Khel Now and EA Sports has not issued an official comment or patch.

EA FC 27 is described in the report as imperfect despite developer efforts to respond to player feedback each year, and FUT Sheriff — identified as a well-known EA FC leaker — shared the footage with the caption "FC 27 is the best game ever pic.twitter.com/o7TjI2I22s". The original post shows the unusual sequence occurring twice in succession, and Khel Now noted it is unclear whether the issue can be reproduced in Ultimate Team or across other modes.

The clip demonstrates a goalkeeper taking a free kick from inside his own box and scoring directly, with both goalkeepers executing the same outcome in back-to-back succession. Khel Now described the bug as game-breaking and capable of disrupting competitive play by allowing goals to be scored from a team’s own penalty area.

The report states the video has attracted attention from the EA FC community, with fans responding that "every EA FC title is the same" and suggesting the developers "might be shaking their boots right now." Khel Now also relayed a community remark that there will be "No more patches until the new promo pack arrives in the game."

Khel Now added that the glitch could become disruptive if left unpatched, while also noting uncertainty about whether it can be consistently replicated across all game modes. The outlet said players are expecting the issue to be addressed in a future game update and expressed hope that EA Sports and the developers will issue a patch or hotfix.
