Fynbos, Chagall, Zucarro and Azaadi stand out at Pune morning gallops
Fynbos, Chagall, Zucarro and Azaadi stood out when horses were exercised at Pune on Wednesday (Aug. 26) morning. Multiple sessions produced timed workouts and rider-supplied assessments across distances from 600m to 1,400m.
The morning’s gallops were recorded in discrete sets at 600m, 800m, 1,000m, 1,200m and 1,400m, with split times and brief comments logged for each horse. Riders named in the report included N.B. At 1,200m Fynbos (Vivek) and Duke Of Tuscany (Ajinkya) recorded 1-22 with 1000/1-6, 800/53 and 600/39; the former, who is in good shape, easily finished two lengths ahead. Rainbow Connection (C.S. Jodha) and Frenzy (Dashrath) also did 1-22 with 1000/1-7, 800/53 and 600/40; Rainbow Connection finished four lengths ahead. Azaadi (C.S. Jodha) and Sixty Four Squares (Dashrath) posted 1-22, 1000/1-7, 800/53, 600/39, with Azaadi two lengths superior.
In the 1,400m trials Chagall (Vivek) returned 1-36 with 1200/1-21, 1000/1-6, 800/51 and 600/39 and was recorded as Moved impressively. Bishop (Kirtish) ran 1-39, 1200/1-24, 1000/1-9, 800/55, 600/42 and was noted as Moved freely. Zucarro (Vivek) and Red Bishop (A. Prakash) both posted 1-36, 1200/1-22, 1000/1-7, 800/53, 600/39; Zucarro was well in hand and the pair finished level, while Age Of Reason (Neeraj) and Endurance (Shelar) completed the set in 1-41, 1000/1-11, 800/56, 600/43 and moved together freely.
