Gauff and Pegula Drawn into Rybakina’s Group at WTA Finals
On Tuesday (November 3, 2026) at Indian Wells the WTA Finals draw placed Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the same singles group as top-ranked Elena Rybakina, while World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka was named head of the other group.
The draw divided the eight qualifying singles and doubles teams into round-robin groups for the season-ending championships. The WTA Finals will be staged at Indian Wells Tennis Garden and run through November 15.
Group 1 comprises defending WTA Finals champion Elena Rybakina, fourth-seeded Coco Gauff, fifth-seeded Jessica Pegula and No. 8 seed Linda Noskova. Noskova is identified as Wimbledon champion and is making her Finals debut. Rybakina enters the event as the reigning champion.
Group 2 is led by Aryna Sabalenka and includes No. 3 seed Mirra Andreeva, No. 6 seed Elina Svitolina and No. 7 seed Karolina Muchova. Mirra Andreeva is noted as the French Open champion. Both Andreeva and Muchova are making their WTA Finals debuts.
Last year, Rybakina defeated Sabalenka in the final to win the title.
Each player and team will face the other three in their group over the first six days, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals.
