In Colombo on the opening day of the warm-up match, India's bowlers gradually found their rhythm after a sluggish start as Manav Suthar, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets apiece to restrict SLC XI to 363 for 8.
Shubman Gill missed the day's play because of a finger injury, with KL Rahul leading the side.
