Gopichand credits six weeks' preparation for Treesa Jolly, Gayatri Gopichand's World Championships bronze

Chief badminton national coach Pullela Gopichand on August 22, 2026 credited six weeks of tactical preparation, improved rotation and patience for Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand's historic bronze medal at the BWF World Championships in New Delhi.

Despite the pair's semi-final loss to China's Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning, Gopichand praised their progress and expressed optimism for India's Asian Games campaign.
