GTA 6 adverts shown on pitchside LED boards during Real Madrid v Barcelona El Clásico

Rockstar Games ran Grand Theft Auto VI advertisements on the pitchside LED boards at Spotify Camp Nou during El Clásico between Barcelona and Real Madrid on October 25, 2026. The on-screen message read: “Grand Theft Auto VI, Coming November 19.”
The fixture, described in coverage as one of the most-watched events in world football, attracted around 650 million viewers worldwide according to some of the latest football reports, while approximately 63,000 spectators were inside Camp Nou. The adverts were displayed repeatedly during the match as part of Rockstar’s promotional activity, and fans captured and shared photos and videos of the pitchside content on social media.
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 in the match, with Kylian Mbappe scoring both goals and Raphinha scoring for Barcelona.
At Camp Nou the pitchside LED boards showed the GTA VI logo together with the promotional line and the ads appeared several times over the course of the game. The placement exposed the campaign to both the stadium audience and the global broadcast viewership referenced in reports.
Outside of the El Clásico activation, Rockstar has staged other real-world promotions, including a partnership with the Miami Heat for a Vice City-themed NBA event and the introduction of Burger Shot and Cluckin’ Bell experiences in Miami as part of its marketing push.
We are now less than one month away from the biggest gaming launch of the year and we might see more marketing, ads, trailers, stuff, etc from Rockstar Games as we get closer to release. Grand Theft Auto VI is releasing on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
