GTA 6 to launch worldwide on November 19, 2026 for PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X/S

Rockstar Games will release Grand Theft Auto VI worldwide on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X/S. The developer has confirmed the release date and platforms for the initial launch window.

The arrival of GTA 6 follows more than a decade of anticipation for a main-series follow-up and, according to Rockstar, there will be no delays to the November 19 launch. Rockstar has also stated the game will not be released on older-generation consoles. The company has not announced a PC version; media reports cited in coverage suggest a PC release may arrive sometime in 2027.

Several purchase options will be available at launch: the Standard Edition is priced at $79.99 and includes only the base game; the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and adds bonus cosmetics, exclusive vehicles and online property vouchers; and the Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection bundle is listed at $399.99.

Digital pre-orders will unlock at midnight local time, with New Zealand the first region to gain access. Preloads are scheduled to begin on November 12, 2026, one week before the official release.

Rockstar Games has not confirmed an official download size for the console versions; leaked information circulating prior to launch indicates the download may occupy around 200–210 GB on consoles.

At launch Rockstar will ship only the single-player story experience; details on GTA VI Online have not been revealed and the online component is expected to arrive separately sometime in 2027.
