Rockstar Games’ upcoming GTA 6, set in Leonida — the studio’s fictional version of Florida — may not include a Disney World-style theme park, the developer indicated in comments to IGN and in a developer tweet. The game is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.

Rockstar has described GTA 6 as one of its most ambitious open-world projects, with features and world immersion showcased ahead of launch. The title’s setting, Leonida, draws on Miami-inspired coastal areas as well as swamps and rural regions. Florida is also home to large attractions such as SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Disney Parks, which prompted fan speculation about parody versions appearing in the game. That speculation helped prompt developer comments regarding how the studio will represent Florida in GTA 6.

When asked about Orlando-area tourist attractions like theme parks and space centers, one Rockstar developer said they aim to bring "the full Florida experience" to GTA 6 while not confirming what appears. The remark was posted in a developer tweet that did not specify which real-world attractions would be represented. The tweet therefore left open whether any locations inspired by major Florida parks would be included.

Speaking to IGN, Rockstar’s Senior Vice President of Environment Art, Paul MacPherson, explained that the company needs to evaluate which locations are fit for the game's best experience and provide value to the open world. He said the selection of places is guided by how they serve world design and gameplay. MacPherson framed this as a deliberate process rather than an attempt to replicate every notable site.

MacPherson said Rockstar didn’t try to have all of the iconic Florida places, but rather all of the landscapes, towns, structures, and landmarks. The studio has stated the exact real-life locations will not be included in GTA 6. Instead, Rockstar expects the variety of locations and the world design will evoke the overall atmosphere of Florida.

Rockstar has said it wants to offer a more meaningful and immersive experience in the game world, rather than placing famous landmarks for their own sake. The company also suggested that major theme parks like Disney World are unlikely to appear in the game. Despite that, Rockstar maintains that players will be able to experience an ambitious and immersive open world that represents Miami-inspired features.

GTA VI is all set to launch on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. For more updates, follow Khel Now Gaming on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; download the Khel Now Android App or IOS App and join our community on Telegram & Whatsapp.
