Guillem Victor called into Barcelona first‑team training ahead of Alavés match

Hansi Flick has brought Barcelona Atlètic right-back Guillem Victor into first‑team training ahead of Barcelona’s LaLiga game against Deportivo Alavés on Saturday, according to reports. The move comes after Jules Koundé was unable to train because of an ankle ailment.

Guillem Víctor Delgado is a 19-year-old Spanish right‑back who currently represents Barcelona Atlètic. He is the brother of Pau Victor, who plays for Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Victor joined Barcelona from Júnior CF in 2017 at under-12 level and progressed through the club’s youth ranks, emerging as one of the leaders of the Barça U19A (Juvenil A) side in the 2025-26 season. He made steady progress within La Masia before stepping up to reserve-team duties.

He made his Barça Atlètic debut on November 2, 2025, against Girona B and has been fully integrated into the reserve squad since the start of the 2026-27 season. Victor is also a Spain youth international, having made two appearances for the Spain U-19 side.

Within the club he is regarded for his technical ability, tactical adaptability and defensive discipline; he is noted for a wide passing range and defensive steadiness and can invert into the middle to help progress possession from the back. He primarily operates as a right‑back.
