Harbhajan Singh says Rohit, Kohli should be picked on form and fitness for World Cup

Harbhajan Singh said in a Times of India article published on August 14, 2026, that selection of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma should be based on performance rather than age ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
He said both players could be key contributors provided they maintain their fitness. Drawing inspiration from Lionel Messi, Harbhajan added that fitness and performance should determine their places on the ODI team.
