Harmanpreet Kaur 91* steers India to 92-run win in Raipur, completes 3-0 T20I sweep of Zimbabwe

Harmanpreet Kaur produced an unbeaten 91 off 41 balls as India beat Zimbabwe by 92 runs in the third and final T20I in Raipur on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, and completed a 3-0 series sweep.
Shafali Verma provided the early impetus with 69 off 37 before Harmanpreet rebuilt the middle overs to power India to 216 for seven; Zimbabwe finished on 124 for seven in 20 overs. The match marked a return to form for Harmanpreet, who had been struggling for runs and had stepped down as captain ahead of the Zimbabwe series.
Captain Smriti Mandhana chose to bat with the stated aim of giving more players time at the crease and opened with Anushka Sharma alongside Shafali. Anushka scored 28 off 20 balls and shared a 54-run partnership with Shafali off 32 balls, setting the platform for the big total.
Shafali produced a second consecutive half-century, striking five sixes with the majority of those clearing deep mid-wicket and using the sweep effectively against the spinners. Anushka pulled Tendai Makusha for a six in the fifth over as India maintained a high scoring rate.
After Shafali's departure, Harmanpreet accelerated India’s six-hitting with five maximums and helped India compile 62 runs in the final five overs while losing four wickets. The conditions were described in the report as a good surface to bat on, which aided the big hitting in the later stages of the innings.
The 37-year-old had struggled for rhythm on the slow pitches during the Women's T20 Asia Cup and received limited batting time in India's Asian Games campaign in Japan. "Feels great that I got some time in the middle. Just wanted to enjoy myself and bat as long as possible," said Harmanpreet before breaking down in the middle of the interview during the innings break.
The two teams will now travel to Vadodara for a three-match ODI series starting on October 23.
