Harry Kane broke the record for the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 victory over Union Berlin on 18 September 2026, achieving the milestone in his 98th league appearance for the club. He added a second goal in the match to take his Bundesliga tally to 101.

The previous benchmark was set by Cologne’s Dieter Müller in 1977, when he reached 100 goals in 129 Bundesliga matches. Since joining Bayern in 2023 Kane had been averaging a Bundesliga goal every 78.5 minutes, and the article reports he has scored 152 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions, including 61 in 51 games last season.

Kane opened his contribution with a 39th-minute penalty that completed his century of Bundesliga goals and then nodded in from a Michael Olise cross early in the second half for his second of the game. The two strikes were part of Bayern’s dominant performance in the league fixture.

Michael Olise recorded his first hat-trick for Bayern in the same match, while Jamal Musiala also scored. The scoring from Olise and Musiala contributed to the comprehensive scoreline alongside Kane’s goals.

“I’m very proud to have now scored 100 and 101 Bundesliga goals. I haven’t been around that long. I’ve loved every second of it,” Kane told Sky Germany. “With Michael, Lucho [Luis Díaz] and Jamal I naturally get chances and today was no exception. “So I just want to thank the team, the club, the coach, and the staff – everyone who has helped me achieve this. Let’s keep going like this. Scoring more goals in games is obviously a big step. Of course, there have been many important goals among them. I can only say that I’m enjoying every minute of it. Just like today.”

The victory moved Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga table before the remaining weekend fixtures.
