Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich through to 2029, the German club announced on 5 November 2026. The 33-year-old Ballon d’Or winner moved to Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for a record €100m.

Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for Bayern since his arrival and has helped the club win two Bundesliga titles and a DFB Cup. He was named the world’s best male player last week after scoring 89 goals for club and country since the start of August 2025. Kane is the first Englishman to win the Ballon d’Or in 25 years and the first Bayern player to do so since Karl‑Heinz Rummenigge in 1981.

“I feel right at home at FC Bayern,” Kane said. “I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich.” “We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager,” he added. “I was keen to stay.”

In September, Kane became the fastest player in German history to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, doing so in 98 games. That feat broke the previous record set by Dieter Mueller in 1977 by 31 games.

Bayern did not disclose financial details of the agreement. German media reported that the extension is the most lucrative contract in the club’s history. German outlets also said the deal is part of a long-term commitment to the England captain.

“We’re absolutely delighted, because with Harry Kane we have the Ballon d’Or winner on the pitch – a team player, a leader, the best all-round striker in the world,” said Christoph Freund, Bayern’s sporting director. “We all benefit from his qualities as a player and as a person, day in, day out. FC Bayern thrives on players who never stop giving their all, even when they have already achieved the greatest of goals.”

This month Kane equalled England’s all-time men’s caps record, while nudging his international goal tally to 91 in 125 appearances.

Kane said: “I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”
