Harsh Dubey takes 9-53 as Madhya Pradesh bowled out for 209 in Ranji Trophy

Harsh Dubey took nine wickets to bowl Madhya Pradesh out for 209 in their first innings against Vidarbha at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur in the Ranji Trophy on November 2, 2026. The left-arm spinner finished with figures of 9 for 53 from 23.1 overs, including four maidens.
The 23-year-old’s performance adds to a strong domestic record that earned him a maiden India call-up in May 2026 after a 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season in which he took 69 wickets and scored 476 runs. He was named in India’s squads for the Test and ODI series against Afghanistan and made his ODI debut on June 13. Dubey has also been part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad setup in the IPL.
Madhya Pradesh were dismissed for 209 in 66.1 overs, with Dubey accounting for nine of the ten wickets to fall and Nachiket Bhute taking the solitary other wicket. Avesh Khan finished unbeaten on 13.
Dubey set the tone by removing Saksham Purohit for 21 and Chanchal Rathore for 13 early in his spell. He then dismissed captain Rajat Patidar for 2 and had Shubham Sharma out for 16 as he exerted control through the middle overs.
Saransh Jain offered resistance, scoring 34 off 41 balls with seven boundaries before being trapped lbw by Dubey. Atharv Mahajan was the mainstay of the innings, making 85 off 123 deliveries with five fours and three sixes; Dubey eventually ended Mahajan’s innings with Samarth R taking the catch.
Other dismissals included Arshad Khan, who was caught and bowled for 12, Kumar Kartikeya for 7, and Ravi Kiran, who was bowled for 1. Nachiket Bhute finished with one wicket to his name.
Dubey’s nine-wicket haul was his best individual return in first-class cricket and the best bowling figures recorded by a Vidarbha bowler in the Ranji Trophy, underlining why he has emerged as one of the most talked-about all-rounders in the domestic game.
